Day 002 — Learning To Shift
Each day it is becoming more apparent to me, that we must learn to shift our attention, if we are to be effective in our doing.
Yesterday, I followed my morning routine of meditation and swimming. However by 9am, I was not in the headspace to be effective in work.
I was tired. My brain felt foggy. I couldn’t think straight.
The proof came when mum asked, “Are you alright? You look very distant.”
“Time to shift”, I thought
And shift I did.
40mins of meditation. No sounds, no guide.
Just myself. Watching thoughts pass like clouds.
And bam…
1 min before my timer went off, I felt a surge of energy and I knew it was time to start work.
I walked to my computer and smashed out a few hours of incredible focus.
