Have you heard of the 80/20 principle. Here’s a summary and fascinating listen.

Richard Koch

I don’t always listen to Tim Ferris, but when I do, I often learn a lot. Sometimes I find him a little robotic, and maybe this episode (that I want to show you) is no different. Nonetheless I think there is serious gold here.

He recently recorded an episode with legendary investor Richard Koch — author of the 80/20 principle. Briefly explained in this book description:

‘How anyone can be more effective with less effort by learning how to identify and leverage the 80/20 principle — the well-known, unpublicized secret that 80 percent of all our results in business and in life stem from a mere 20 percent of our efforts.’

You can listen to the podcast here. It made me think of how I can optimise my efforts to be more effective in creating this app to help people organise their life. After all, the quicker I can create magic, the sooner people can create magic in their life. And there is nothing that makes me more excited (besides a fresh muffin) than seeing people realise their potential and choosing their dream life.

The 80/20 principle in more detail

I was going to write about this principle and explain it for you all, however I found an amazing synopsis of the book. Have a read of this article. It’s an awesome read and not only relevant to business, but also your happiness, relationships and all areas of life.

Buy the book

You can also buy the book here. I’ll be reading it for sure. I think this is a game changer for making it happen. If you give it a read, or listen to the podcast with Tim & Richard, comment below what you think.
